Terms of Service
1. Scope of Service
Hazel-Guard is a SaaS platform providing IoT-based decision support for agricultural chemical application timing. The platform generates spraying windows through deterministic algorithms using satellite data, meteorological forecasts, and field sensor readings.
2. Limitation of Liability
Recommendations generated by Hazel-Guard are decision-support outputs based on academic models and real-time sensor data. The final spraying decision must always be made by a licensed agronomist or authorized farmer. Hazel-Guard cannot be held liable for direct or indirect damages arising from misapplication, equipment failure, or unforeseeable weather events.
3. Intellectual Property
All algorithms, interfaces, data models, and reporting infrastructure on the platform are the exclusive intellectual property of Hazel-Guard. They may not be copied, reproduced, or used to develop derivative products without written permission.
4. Service Modifications
Hazel-Guard reserves the right to modify platform features, pricing, and service scope with prior notice. A 30-day notice period applies for changes affecting enterprise contracts.
Privacy Policy
5. Data Collected
Hazel-Guard collects raw meteorological data from field sensors, user action logs, spraying records, and enterprise identity information. Personal farmer data is processed solely for service delivery and stored in encrypted form.
6. Data Sharing
Collected data is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes without explicit written consent. Sharing with relevant public authorities may occur when legally required. Anonymized and aggregated agronomic data may be used for academic research.
7. Data Retention
Spraying records and compliance reports are retained for a minimum of 5 years in accordance with EU Green Deal audit requirements. Raw sensor data is converted to aggregated form after 12 months for storage efficiency.
8. KVKK & GDPR Rights
Users in Turkey have rights under KVKK, and users in the EU have rights under GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, and portability of their data. To exercise these rights, please contact us through our official channels.
Data Processing Agreement (DPA)
9. Data Controller
Enterprise clients are the data controllers for farmer data belonging to their own supply chains. Hazel-Guard acts as the data processor for this data and processes it solely for the purpose of service delivery.
10. Security Standards
The platform is protected with AES-256 encryption, TLS 1.3 transport security, and role-based access control (RBAC). We maintain a responsible disclosure policy for security vulnerabilities.
